Doctor and algorithm decide who gets that medical treatment first

Now that the number of corona patients in hospitals is decreasing, there is more room to make up for the 140,000 postponed medical treatments. At Erasmus MC, an algorithm helps determine which group will be helped first. This saves time and is more ethical, explains medical decision expert Hester Lingsma at Spraakmakers.
